From the romance and nostalgia of the ‘Golden Age of Steam’ to the impressive workmanlike power of the ‘Diesel Era’, it is unquestionably the locomotives that drive our passion for model railways. In ‘O’ Gauge the size, weight and feel are even more impressive and realistic, and it is easy to see why this area of the hobby has grown so much in appeal over the past decade or so.

WJVintage is pleased to offer a wide range from the superb ready to run locomotives we are lucky enough to have available today.

These include an ever-growing range of British outline locomotives developed jointly byWJVintage and Raylo, and produced exclusively for us by our partners in the Czech Republic, ETS Trains.

In addition to these, we also offer a wide range of products from great British names like Hornby, who now own the Bassett-Lowke brand, Ace Trains, and Darstaed. Last but not least, covering European outline, we are able to offer the complete range produced by ETS trains. It is probably fair to say we have never had it so good!

All are designed to exacting standards of modern-day engineering but all evoke the true nostalgia of vintage toys with their tinplate or cast metal construction and beautifully finished paintwork. The quality means they are built to last and, they are most certainly built to be run.
